London isn’t just a concrete jungle like you may think it would be, we have aoms egreat parks and forests across London to help you really enjoy the summer. Some of these are widely known whilst others are just a little more hidden. We wanted to cover some of the biggest parks in London so it won’t matter how busy it’s going to be because you’ll have more than enough space to yourself! The best part about all of this too is that it’s completely free. You can take in the sun, if we get it for that long, and enjoy the space.  Starting with Hampstead Heath, is one of the less manicured parks in London but that doesn’t take away from it’s beauty at all. Only four miles from Trafalgar Square and has about 800 acres of lovely countryside to enjoy! Not only will you find all your classic park goers such as dog walkers, nature lovers, joggers, and more. You’ll also get to enjoy the animals, you may get to see the muntjac deer, woodpeckers, and parakeets that are residents of the park...

Easter Fun at Home!

Image
Having fun at  Easter is something you can do no matter where you are. It may not be as easy to enjoy those classic Easter Egg hunts but you can still make them happen if you try hard enough. We’re coming into a four day weekend, with Bank Holiday Friday and Bank Holiday Monday. So let’s make the most of it all and start celebrating all across the weekend. Now as Easter is a religious event, you can find many articles all about how to celebrate it online. We will be talking about the fun activities you can take part in alone, whomever is in your house with you, or friends and family online too. You can start with dying your Easter Eggs. Even though yes this is seen as a kids activity, there’s no harm in the adults giving it a go, and who knows how competitive it can get too. All you need to do is hard boil your eggs, once you’ve done that you can get creative. You can put water, vinegar, and food colouring into bowls and dip your eggs to get a full colour. You can also use sm...

Games to play on Skype with your friends!

Image
Skyping your friends can be a lot of fun, but if you’re doing it every single day surely you might run out of things to talk about. You can only talk about the 20 steps you took to the kitchen and back a few times before your friends will have an exact mental map of the layout of your home. So that being said, we’ve got some ideas for some fun time wasters, and you might l;earn something about your friends too. There’s loads of games that you can download apps for or needs your notes but these are all word games and mind games so you don’t need anything but your friends and the endless amount of time together.  You can start with the game ‘Two Truths, One Lie’. In this game you list three different things, one of them being a lie whilst the other two are truthful. The goal is for your friend to work out which one the lie was. Try to plan them out before you start listing them because it can get pretty obvious when all your brain could think of was that you broke your arm mee...

Image
Whether you like your pancakes sweet or savoury, covered in Nutella, or maple syrup, we’re just around the corner from Pancake Day so make your mind up! There will be some perfect pancake tosses, maybe some not so perfect ones and possibly some on the floor too. Pancake Day has an official name and that is Shrove Tuesday. Shrove Tuesday is a traditional feast day which marks the last day before Lent, traditionally a period of abstinence, that can often involve clearing your cupboards of fats, sugars, eggs, and more. So the easiest way to use up these ingredients comes in the form of pancakes. So, London has taken the opportunity to use Shrove Tuesday to make some of the best pancakes and have some fun too. This year Pancake Day will be on Tuesday the 25th of February, however some places around London have fun pancake related events across this weekend coming too. We’ve got vegan and gluten-free pancakes covered too, so don’t worry! Starting off with some of the fun and festivities...

Image
Valentine’s Day is here, and it’s almost over, it doesn’t mean that you have to settle for bad plans, you can still do so much, and barely even have to leave the house. Valentine's Day can be super expensive, and quite stressful especially when you get down to the wire, however these are super simple fun things to do, with whomever you decide to spend your Valentine’s Day with. Plus, you won’t have to take out another loan from the bank to cover the costs! If these fail, just quickly run down to Tesco and get the leftover flowers and chocolate! Firstly, you can have a cute indoor picnic. Picnics can always fall flat outside especially considering the fact that it’s February and London weather just doesn’t hold up no matter the time of year. So you can find a cute spot to lay down a blanket, you can just do it on your bed, no judgement! You can fill it out with comfy pillows if you’re trying to get extra cosy.
