Exciting Things to do in March!

Image
March is just a couple days away, and it’s looking like it will be a packed out month! We've got St Patrick’s Day, International Women’s Day, Mother’s Day, and lots of other great events in between! You’d think we would be getting ready for a nice spring walk with the sun starting to come out, but as London has always been unpredictable we’ve got the cold and snow right now! Don’t worry though we’re going to be doing an entire blog about Mother’s Day and St.Patrick’s day so don’t stress about getting those last minute plans in, we’ve got you covered. Just make sure to wrap up warm for March to enjoy all the activities on offer around London!  Staring with International Women’s Day on Sunday the 8th of March, Southbank Centre are holding their annual Women of the World festival. From the 6th till the 8th of March there will be dozens of events covering topics of gender equality across the globe! The programme for the weekend has Q&A panels, talks, mentoring sessions, and you

Pancake Day in London!

Image
Whether you like your pancakes sweet or savoury, covered in Nutella, or maple syrup, we’re just around the corner from Pancake Day so make your mind up! There will be some perfect pancake tosses, maybe some not so perfect ones and possibly some on the floor too. Pancake Day has an official name and that is Shrove Tuesday. Shrove Tuesday is a traditional feast day which marks the last day before Lent, traditionally a period of abstinence, that can often involve clearing your cupboards of fats, sugars, eggs, and more. So the easiest way to use up these ingredients comes in the form of pancakes. So, London has taken the opportunity to use Shrove Tuesday to make some of the best pancakes and have some fun too. This year Pancake Day will be on Tuesday the 25th of February, however some places around London have fun pancake related events across this weekend coming too. We’ve got vegan and gluten-free pancakes covered too, so don’t worry! Starting off with some of the fun and festivities

Easy Last Minute Valentine's Plans!

Image
Valentine’s Day is here, and it’s almost over, it doesn’t mean that you have to settle for bad plans, you can still do so much, and barely even have to leave the house. Valentine's Day can be super expensive, and quite stressful especially when you get down to the wire, however these are super simple fun things to do, with whomever you decide to spend your Valentine’s Day with. Plus, you won’t have to take out another loan from the bank to cover the costs! If these fail, just quickly run down to Tesco and get the leftover flowers and chocolate! Firstly, you can have a cute indoor picnic. Picnics can always fall flat outside especially considering the fact that it’s February and London weather just doesn’t hold up no matter the time of year. So you can find a cute spot to lay down a blanket, you can just do it on your bed, no judgement! You can fill it out with comfy pillows if you’re trying to get extra cosy. Then you can get all of your favourite snacks, make finger sandwich

Out of the Ordinary Valentine's Day Ideas!

Image
We’re a week away from Valentine’s Day, and that’s okay, because if you haven’t made plans already there is still a lot of time to get those plans set in stone. No disappointing your partner by trying to get them in that fancy restaurant that’s been booked up for three months and leaving in embarrassment. We have some ideas for you that are out of the ordinary and still have tickets left! Whilst London is completely smothered by lovey dovey cards, and chocolates, you can take your partner to the more interesting nights out and save the chocolate and flowers for after if you feel like it. Whether you’re loved up or not you can enjoy these dates out. Just take a friend instead, you can still have fun!  Firstly, you can head down to the Natural History Museum, not a usual spot, but that’s all in the fun of it. They’re turning the charm all the way up with their adults-only event, talks, and activities! One of their events being all about courtship, and copulation in the animal wo
