Exciting Things to do in March!

March is just a couple days away, and it’s looking like it will be a packed out month! We've got St Patrick’s Day, International Women’s Day, Mother’s Day, and lots of other great events in between! You’d think we would be getting ready for a nice spring walk with the sun starting to come out, but as London has always been unpredictable we’ve got the cold and snow right now! Don’t worry though we’re going to be doing an entire blog about Mother’s Day and St.Patrick’s day so don’t stress about getting those last minute plans in, we’ve got you covered. Just make sure to wrap up warm for March to enjoy all the activities on offer around London!

Staring with International Women’s Day on Sunday the 8th of March, Southbank Centre are holding their annual Women of the World festival. From the 6th till the 8th of March there will be dozens of events covering topics of gender equality across the globe! The programme for the weekend has Q&A panels, talks, mentoring sessions, and you can buy some great stuff in their marketplace too! Topics such as politics, race, sexuality, and gender will all be discussed throughout the weekend so you can expect to start your March learning a lot.

Jumping to the week after, we have a vegan festival! Vegan Life Live is coming to a two day event at Alexandra Palace on the 14th-15th of March! Whether you’re vegan or not it’s a great place to go and try some amazing food, watch live cooking, and pick up some recipes whilst you’re at it. There won’t be just lots of leaves around though, as I’m sure non vegans may expect. There will be pizzas, curries, pasta, and lots for the sweet tooth too! There’s also an area of the event dedicated to solely EcoLiving, which means you can pick up some tips to look after yourself and the planet as well!

FutureFest 2020 is here, with an amazing programme based entirely on the belief that the future doesn’t just happen, we can in fact make and create it however we wish too. On the 20th March there will be talks and debates from the likes of Louis Theroux, Richard Ayeoade, David Lammy, Charlotte Church and many more! They will be covering topics such as mind, and body, inventions, activism, and most importantly the environment. Amongst the talks there will be artistic installations and amazing performances too. So there’s lots of opportunities to learn and enjoy all the ideas and creativity that the future can bring!

Ending March with a bang we have the Eat & Drink Festival. The 27th till the 13th March at Olympia, as a part of the Ideal Home Show, you can take all of your foodie friends and enjoy everything it has to offer. There will be lots of street food to try. Then if you need to stock up your cupboards at home they have their Artisan Producers Market to pick up the best of the best for your home. There will be live cooking and tips and tricks from celebrity chefs too, so you can take some recipes home and enjoy the best of it all!

Hopefully you can enjoy some of these great events across the month, and we will have more blogs out for Mother’s Day and St Patrick's Day too!
