Where to Read Books Online for Free!

Maybe five years ago, if you wanted to read books online you’d have to buy a kindle or reading tablet specifically for that, but now we’ve finally moved on from that, and you can enjoy all your favorite books and thousands you’ve never even heard of before all from your p;hone, or computer. Wherever you want them really. The internet is a major tool for everyday life now, and when you can’t get out of the house and you’re done streaming all your favourite shows, it’s nice to pick up a book and really just enjoy it. However if you don;t have a lot of books at home then you’re stuck as you can’t exactly reread that harry potter book set again, right. Well unless you really want to.

Luckily a lot of the books you’re about to get access to are now public domain books. This just means that they’re free because their intellectual property rights have now expired. Which means anyone can get their hands on them to put on other sites. So when I tell you there are millions of books out there you can read for free, I truly mean it. This way your wallet will be happy because you're not spending all that money and it doesn;t take up any physical space either. You don’t have to add to that shelf of books that you’ll read one day. Another great benefit of these books is that you can so easily share them with friends, you don;t have to worry about getting the book to them and maybe not getting it back ever. A lot of these sites also have font flexibility too, if they’re not scans of physical copies then a lot of the time you can change the font size and more to make it easier on your eyes.

Starting with the most well known site, Project Gutenberg, This site is the mother of all ebook sites, literally. This site was first made in 1971, when the first ebook ws ever created. It was the ‘Declaration of Independence of the United States of America’. Yeah, a great way to start. So many sites that are out there that offer free ebooks have pulled their options from this site specifically. Project Gutenberg has over 50,000 free ebooks for you to get through. You don;t need to register and there are no fees, so you don’t have to worry about being caught up 20 pages in with a pop up saying you need to pay to see the rest. These books are often available in loads of different formats too, so you have options for your desktop and anywhere else you can get it too. You don;t have to be just English speaking to use this site either, they also have options for French, Dutch, and Portuegues, with loads more on there as well. When you first go on the site there is a Top 100 List, so you can have a look at what everyone is reading. But if that doesn’t tickle your fancy then they have 15 different subsections including; History, Literature, book series, and picture books too.

Going over to a way newer website, we have Wattpad. Wattpad is one of the most popular community based ebook sites out there. There have been over 2 billion minutes of reading accounted for across the entirety of Wattpad, but that’s not for their whole run time. They clock that in every single month. The site supports over 20 different languages, and you can read anything you can imagine. If you've got some favourite tv shows and movie characters that you love and you don;t want their stories to end then you can absolutely find some fan made content on Wattpad to fill that Sherlock gap in your life. You can have a whole community of people with hundreds of book recommendations and make new friends too.

Moving over to the Google eBookstore, they have an entirely free section of ebooks to download. There are loads of different genres to choose from from hundreds of different authors. You can find some best sellers, amazing classics and all of those independent ones too. You can download them in lots of different formats which is helpful too. There are also ratings and reviews on eqwach one so between any spoilers you can see what books are really going to be up your alley.

We hope you can really make a use of the sites we have listed and read up on all your favourites and some completely new options too. There are so many more free ebook sites out there, so if there are any you love and we've missed, then let us know and we can write about it soon.
