Best Vintage Markets of London

Outside of the H&M and Topshop that sits on every street of London, there are tens of thousands of people looking for a bit more individuality and just as cheap as those H&M sales that you can’t resist. With how the market is changing there are so many different places to get vintage clothing and not break your bank. The option for plus size clothing, ethically sourced, handmade, or custom pieces you can’t try out these five vintage markets we have listed below! You’ve got the mix up of classic brands, and their pieces from the 90’s that are perfectly coming back into fashion, and completely new designs by up and coming designers who’ve booked a stall in the hopes get their name out there!

We can start off with Spitalfields Market, which is great as it’s open all week long, but for those fashion finds to make sure you head down on Saturday as it completely transforms into one of the best spots for all thing fashion. They have eighty-eight individual fashion stalls for you to browse for the best pieces, that are globally influenced, and ethically made! Mixed in with all the main fashion items, there are also lots of accessories to choose from to finish every look.

Next is Cabbages & Frocks which is on the beautiful courtyard of St Marylebone Parish Church. Whilst this location is more aimed towards those looking for all things high end, such as second-hand mulberry bags, and Gucci, fingers crossed for them that it’s all real. There is also a lot of up and coming designers, which is perfect for your budget, but still getting original pieces for that next outfit you want to wear out to the club! However we know when you’ve been rummaging for ages you can get a little hungry, so luckily there are lots of food stalls as well. Cabbage & Frocks is the perfect combination of food and fashion for everybody involved!

Greenwich Market is another great spot for vintage fashion, every weekend tucked away from the all of the food and other bits is a space for all vintage and second-hand items. With independent shops mixed in with all of the rest of the market, there is so much to offer and different styles that everyone has. Here you can buy a whole bag o stuff and not break the bank again, so it’s still perfect for everyone! Another space as well where you can buy bags and jewellery too, to finish off the look.

Chatsworth Road Market is a set place for independent fashion designers, all mixed in with independent food designers too if you get hungry (just food stalls, I wanted to make it fancy though). With all of the options for great clothes and great food, there’s no chance you’ll walk away from here without buying something. Sunday markets can get very busy though, but as this place is tucked away you’ll be very happy to know you can breathe here whilst you look for the best bits of every designer. Over 50% of the stalls are run by locals, so you know they know their space, their market, and will surely be able to help you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Finally, we finish up with the Sunday UpMarket, clever name, and great space. Right on Brick Lane, it’s surely an easy find for everyone, and it’s a perfect mix of vintage clothing and the best new designers in London. A lot of these stalls offer one-off bespoke pieces for their customers, so If you’re looking for that sort of thing, this market is the best place for you!

If you weren’t able to get at least a full outfit out of all of these locations I’d be very surprised!
