Best Streaming Platforms in UK!

Whether you’re being made to stay inside or not, we all love to stream our favourite shows and movies, all the time. The commute to and from work, lunch breaks, between classes. We love watching new shows, and sharing them with friends too. The only thing is, we need to know what ones are best, and can we watch for free too. We want to help you and show you where you can stream your favourite shows as cheaply as possible and still get the best of  the options. If you don’t want to pay for the streaming, that’s okay, luckily a lot of these sites offer free trials, so just pick your timing wisely.

First, let's start with the basic free movie and TV streaming sites. You may need something that's a bit more long term, and free, and we have got options for you. You don;t have to worry about doing anything illegal or downloading a VPN, we don’t want to put that out there for you, there are some legit UK streaming sites that offer great options for free. Channel 4 is a great place to start. There is an impressive number of box sets available that are 100% free. You don;t need a tv license to watch it either, You've got sitcoms like the I.T crowd on there and popular TV shows like Catastrophe. All you need to do is register with them, and you can have full access, there is one catch and that is ad breaks, same as on a usual TV, which for me isn’;t an issue because most sites that offer free streaming, such as YouTube, have ads on them now too. If you don't want to watch the ads though you can pay £3.99 a month to remove the ads.

Now going over to BBC iPlayer, this one is ‘free’ now the reason we write it like that is because you do need a TV license to access and watch. However once you’ve done that you can watch for free with no ads at all. Not only do they have tons of options of films and tv shows they also have catch-up options so you can watch all your fav recent releases, and not miss a thing. Their current options for TV Shows are truly wonderful with shows like Sherlock, Blue Planet, Fleabag, Luther and more. Just register, and you;re all ready to go.

Now going over to some subscription services that are affordable, or just see that free trial and make sure to cancel before it’s up. These are all great services, you just need to make sure you pay attention to how much you’re watching and who is watching to see if it’s truly worth it. If you can find friends or family members that want the subscription too, you can think about splitting the bill or buying a couple different subscriptions and sharing the accounts.

Netflix starts at only £5.99 a month, and we all love Netflix, that;s why it’s first on the list of subscription options. Not only has Netflix got amazing documentaries, films, tv shows, stand up sets and more. Newtflix are also really killing the game with their Netflix originals such as Stranger Things, and The Crown. Which obviously you can’t get anywhere else.

Noe let’s talk about a new on the scene streaming service, Disney+. You can pay £5.99 a month for it, or £59.99 for the full year. Disney+ gives you access to over 500 films, and 350 tv series. You;ve got all the classic Disney films like Snow White, all the way up to the newest ones like Moana. It also gives you access to all the short films that you see before the main film starts. One great thing is that it had the complete backlog of The Simpsons, a whole 600 episodes, you’ll be set for a very long time if you plan to watch that all the way through. If those aren;t your kinds of thing then you’ll be happy to know that you get full access to all the outstanding Marvel films too.

Finally over to Amazon Prime Video you can pay £5.99 a month for this one and it has many incredible shows and films on it,you’ll get to watch The Office over and over again until you figure out how to do every one of Jim’s pranks on Dwight. Like Netflix, Amazon also does a lot of Amazon Originals. They did a whole series with the original Top Gear crew, and if you enjoyed it back then , then you should invest in Amazon Prime Video and watch that too. If that’s not your taste you can also watch The Walking Dead, The imitation game and way way more.

Well, hopefully that’s given you some more insight into the best of the best streaming services. Now there are hundreds more out there but we know these are the most popular, and you can always trial their accounts before paying full price. Let us know if there’s any other streaming services you enjoy and would like to write about.
