Easy Arts and Crafts for Home!

We all need to get creative sometimes, especially now, where we haven’t got much else to do other than be inside. We can enjoy all the aspects of our favourite TV shows, and chatting with friends. In between that and getting all our adulting done we need to have a release sometimes. However when you’re cooped up you may not have that many supplies to get you through creatively. Luckily there are still a lot of places that can deliver to you, but we’re hoping that this blog will have some ideas where you’ll already have everything at home ready to go. So let’s get started on some fun arts and crafts.

Starting with something nice and easy, letters. Writing letters to friends, use as many colours and drawings as you want. Write something out to your friends that you want them to know. Yes we know a text works but this has some motivation behind it. You can write why you;re grateful for them, or draw a picture of the both of you, or their cat. It doesn’t have to be good and probably the worse it is the funnier it will be too. You can also origami your own envelopes whilst you’re at it. That’s the most home made you could probably get for a letter. As much as you can’t go out right now, you can send them off as soon as you;re ready to. I’m sure anyone receiving it will appreciate the gesture, or maybe think it's your little sister who made it for them. Either way it’s a cute easy craft that someone else can enjoy too.

Next up is some fun origami, we’ve been making things out of paper since we were kids, it’s commonplace to know how to make an airplane or a chatterbox. Use some time to make some of your favourite origami things. Make airplanes for a competition. You can make a chatterbox to use with friends over skype too. If you need something a bit more challenging there are thousands of tutorials on places such as Youtube that can show you exactly how to make baby yoda out of paper.

Now we know we’ve got all this toilet roll now, and we’re not saying use it for the craft but you can absolutely use the cardboard roll that’s left over afterwards. You can use these rolls for so many things, you can use them as cord organisers, or decorate them real nice and turn them into pen holders instead. Some people are cutting beautiful shapes out of them and turning them into frames for mirrors and other things. So give it a go, and see what you can make out of some old loo rolls, you may be able to make it look just like that one pinterest you saw.

Now there’s nothing wrong with drawing and painting. As long as you have the resources you’re all set. You may not be the best at it, but that doesn’t matter at all. When you;re a child drawing a horse with four legs on the same side, you’re not striving for the most realistic horse. Just enjoy yourself, and enjoy the time to be creative. The outcome will be great no matter if you love it or laugh at it. You can use so many online prompt sites to give you some ideas for what to draw and paint. As sometimes you may get art blocks and can;t think of anything particularly exciting. There’s some basic prmt sites and some that will have you drawing the president in a hot dog suit on a mountain with a unicorn. Yeah, ridiculous we know,.. It’s all for fun though, and that's all that matters.

Hopefully there’s some fun art and crafts ideas in there for you to enjoy whilst staying inside. Let us know what you make and give us some ideas if you can think of any more easy arts and crafts!
