Childish Fun to Have Whilst at Home!

We’re all adults now and with being adults comes loads of things that just aren’t that fun but we have to do them anyway. Working full time, paying all our bills, looking after our health by not eating four chocolate bars in a row. All boring, but they have to be done. Now not everything has to be so adult though, there are times where we can enjoy ourselves and let go a bit. Now trying to do that at home may not be as easy. You may be able to just sit on your phone, watch TV or read a book wehn at home but we want more for you. There are so many activities we did as kids that we don't actually have to stop doing now. So if you need some fun childish things to do whilst cooped up at home then here’s a few options for you.

Starting off with something that can even be quite relaxing if done right. Colouring. As kids we had to learn how to colour inside the lines and make sure to get the rainbow colors right. Colouring doesn’t need to be so restrictive anymore. There are 1000s of colouring books out there that are great for adults, and aren;t so ordinary as a couple houses and a rainbow with the sun in the top corner. If you aren’t able to get out to get a book or order one you can print them off online. If you haven't got that either there are tons of colouring book apps you can download too that mean you can still enjoy that colouring. After you’re done you can show it off on Skype to your friends, or put it up on your fridge if you're really proud of yourself.

Noe moving on to the absolute best thing to do as a child, this tops that chart for fun. You knew it was going to be on the list, we’re talking blanket fort. Or any kind of fort for that matter, use any furniture you’ve got, and make the best fort possible. They’re simple to make because there are absolutely no rules. You can drape them over to your TV so you can watch netflix whilst cooped up. Bring in some blankets and make room for snacks if you’re going to be there a while. You can see how much of your room you can make into a fort, and if you’ve got some string lights, drape them inside to keep it really cosy. If you’ve got a fan you can direct it under your blankets so it gives some extra lift to them, that way you don’t have to worry about trying to prop every single broom perfectly so you can see past your own hands.

This one is a silly one but can be fun and ridiculous one even if you're just by yourself. These life size drawings just involve you piecing together a bunch of paper until it’s your size. Lay down on it and draw around yourself. Then you can do whatever kind of self portrait you feel like. Give yourself  crazy clothes or add an extra arm or two. Again, the best thing about these kid activities is there are no limits. Well the edge of the paper is the limit and that;s about it. Then once you’ve finished it you can prop it up next to you for a friend whilst you're inside. Just maybe watch out if it’s started talking to you it may be time to have a phone call with someone. Another great use is if you make it look like you, then you can set it up with skype with friends and disappear when you want to.

So if you’re feeling a bit peckish at this point, why not make some cookies, or some candy. You can make whatever you want and then before eating them all, take the extra time to decorate them with icing and sprinkles. You get to do this as kids but now you get the responsibility of the hot oven.

Hopefully these are some fun, silly things to do to bring you back to your childhood a bit. Being inside can get pretty boring, but we have loads of blogs coming out about all the things you can do to enjoy your own company and those through your phone too!
