The Most Scenic Christmas Lights Of London!
The stunning Christmas lights of London are in full swing, on every street you can see beautiful bright lights celebrating the most festive time of year! London boasts some of the best Christmas lights, however this time we’re not talking about all of the most festive streets like Oxford Street, Carnaby Street and more. We wanted to go a bit more fairytale and a lot less big buildings on long streets. We’ve decided to piece together a few of the most scenic Christmas lights you can see this December.
Starting off with Syon Park Forest which will be lit up like a Christmas tree. A longstanding west London rival to Kew’s display, the woodlands of Syon Park will light up for the winter with an array of colourful lighting displays. This one’s ticketed, so book yourself in on their website. This will be the 14th year that they’ve decided to enchant the 6-century-old woodlands using a spectrum-worth of lights, lasers, strobes, floodlights, and other such modern wizardry.
Now over to Syon Park’s Rival, the stunning Kew Gardens. This winter, Kew are promising more twinkling than ever before. Considering last year saw one million lights, this year, a brand new trail will boast over one million lights. The largest surviving Victorian glass house which has been recently restored, Temperate House will be one of the main showstoppers along the trail at Kew. It will form the canvas for a kaleidoscopic laser show. There’s a fire garden, tumbling waterfalls, and forests of vines. Then it will have projections all across the lake and iconic glass house. Then you can get to toasting marshmallows in a garden festooned with twinkling lights before making your way across a lake covered in hundreds of glowing boats.
Finally over to the Enchanted Eltham Palace. It’s south London’s beautiful art deco mansion, and this December it’s getting a festive makeover, with dozens of holographic displays and crisscrossing lights in the night sky. The palace walls will also get their own projections, glowing fountains, off into the moat attached. Yes an actual moat, considering this is still half a medieval castle it makes sense. and pathways that seem like they're straight out of a fairytale. This is the third year running now, but they’re still up there with the big leagues for their beautiful shows.
If that’s not enough lights for you, you can still wonder all over London to get your fix!
