Last-Minute Halloween Costumes for people who really haven't got the time.

Halloween comes round every year quicker than you expect, and you almost never have time to execute those perfect group costumes that you spoke about in late August. Oh well, there’s always next year right? Well for now, here’s five super quick and simple options to try and convince the party guests around you that you do actually make an effort sometimes. If you aren’t able to get these right then maybe you should stay in and queue some scary movies, but there’s probably not much scarier than your lack of commitment but i’m sure you know that.

When life gives you lemons, make a punny costume that will surely have a lot of people rolling their eyes. Just get a plain white tee, if you don’t have one already you can pick one up for really cheap. Depending on your creativity level you can either just write ‘LIFE’ on the shirt in black pen, or cut the shapes out of black card and stick them to your shirt. Next step, an absolutely crucial one...buy a bag of lemons. Go around handing them out. Don’t hand them out to quickly though as you’ll run out and you’ll have a lot of confused people asking about why you're walking around in a random shirt.

If you’ve run out of ideas and time, you can get away with minimal effort. Simply just grab a white tee, some pen and write on it ‘Error 404 - Costume Not Found’. You don’t even need any other accessories! Super simple and easy, and everyone will get it, and maybe you’ll be forgiven for not putting in any effort. At Least you didn’t go as a cat or a ghost right?

Being a Jellyfish is another super easy option, as long as you aren’t superstitious. All you need is a clear umbrella, and a lot strips of multi coloured tissue paper..oh and some glue! Just glue them all together, and wear something quite light coloured underneath and you're all set. Superstition comes in if you're not  fan of having an umbrella open inside, then maybe do a different costume on the list! There is so many colour combinations you can go for, you can add a face to the umbrella as well if you want to do something quite cute! Another interesting extra is a shower cap, put that on your head and you’ll match even more!

Remember what we said earlier about not going as a ghost? Well forget about that, there’s a way you can make it just that bit more interesting. Also really when was the last time you saw someone dressed as a ghost?  This is one of the easiest costumes to make because all you need is an old bed sheet, cut a ton of holes in it, all over it. Get a halo headband, or make one yourself with a plastic headband and some wire. There you have it, you are a Holy Ghost. Don’t worry you’ll hate it just as much as everyone else who has to look at it.

Another punny one now, just grab your favourite packet of crisps, and get a shirt that matches the colour. So if you go for Classic Walkers Cheese and Onion then get a Blue shirt. I don’t need to give you any more examples, I'm sure you get it. Now, tape, glue, somehow stick that bag of crisps on your shoulder. Have you got it yet? Chip on your shoulder. Super easy, simple, and you get a snack at the end of the night, surely slightly warm and broken but there’s nothing like a snack that reflects your current life when it’s 4am, right?

Hopefully you can pull something together from these, have a good Halloween!
