Crazy Golf Spots in London

Crazy-golf is a classic for British summer time, but it’s not always easy to come by! That’s not the case anymore though, as we seem to love it so much that lots of different crazy golf courses have been popping up all London! Over the last two years we’ve gone completely mad for crazy golf, so if that’s your thing, you’ve got endless themes and endless fun! I mean realistically, who really enjoys normal golf? Not the young at heart! Of course, you’d rather shoot a golf ball into a dinosaur’s mouth than a normal hole, right? Not just me? Some of the ones we’ve picked are more quirky ones, some scary, and some overrun with animatronic dinosaurs!

Dinosaur Escape is one of the larger courses in West London, with 18 holes, so if you really want to go all out, go here. The best thing about this place does not only do they have almost-life size dinosaurs, but they move, breath, and will definitely roar at you if you get too close. Don’t let it put you off your game though, I'm sure you can still get some hole in ones if you try hard enough! The course isn’t just dinosaurs, it’s truly setup like you may as well be in Jurassic Park! With a packed jungle, fossils, rock paths, and some concerning red lakes you’re sure to be really immersed into the theme!

Plonk Crazy Golf is one of the coolest places to go, as there isn’t just one, but six locations! The first one being Dalston, as it’s all set up in Efes Pool Hall, and it is one of the most over the top places we've seen! Covered in UV paint, and colourful tiki decor, it became so popular they’ve opened up five other locations with different amounts of crazy neonness across them all and even one in Berlin! Some have glowing volcanoes, some with spinning disco lights. The actual course is pretty cool too as there are definitely some trickier ones, with a loop the loop, steep hills, and little mechanisms, it may end up making you get quite frustrated.

Down in South London, there is an 18 hole course and by the name of it, I bet you can guess the theme! The Dragon Quest Adventure Golf is based just around dragons, with huge models caves, rocky paths with monster footprints and plenty of water features! Even though the dragons are static the whole place is filled with lots of different noises so it still sets the theme for your trip! The course is very family-friendly though, so expect kids!

Swingers is a mini-golf course that has two separate locations, the themes are a bit more relaxed and give you childhood beach vibes when there. There's no big dinosaurs or bright neon lights. However, that hasn’t affected how popular these locations are. Swingers first location opened up in 2016 at the base of the Gherkin, and the second one is in Oxford Circus in a former department store! With a nine-hole course at each location, it’s a laid-back course with ivy, trees, and beautiful timber gazebos. There are also themed cocktails, a two-story clubhouse, and a gin terrace. These mini golf course definitely give us more of an elegant vibe, as much elegance as you can when you put the words ‘mini-golf’ and ‘booze’ together.

This is just a few of the ones we thought that was quite interesting and right in the heart of London! If you end up going to any of these tell us in the comments what you thought of them!
