LONDON FESTIVALS

When the good weather begins, London becomes one of the most beautiful cities to visit and live in. The parks become wonderful places. Londoners and visitors alike,  go to the parks to enjoy the good weather, so that London’s parks become social places, where you can relax, enjoy the day, and meet new people.

The wide variety and large volume of London parks, makes these parks perfect places to host music festivals, these events attract lots of people from all around the world.

These festival year begins in May and last until the end of August,  taking place during the hottest months of the year. This is a list of some of the forthcoming festivals this year.

Hear No Evil in London Fields Sunday May 24 2015
Music genres: reverb-heavy psych-rock and pop.  There will be comedy acts, plus  other fun stuff too, visitors can enjoy craft beer on tap in the hospitality areas. The festival  is fundraising for the Macmillan Cancer support charity.

Born & Bred in Haggerston Park, Haggerston Saturday June 6 2015

Types of music: drum ’n’ bass, jungle, dubstep, garage, grime and gritty techno. Including some huge artists such as Wiley, Goldie, Zinc, Digital Mystikz

Field Day in Victoria Park, Saturday June 6 2015 - Sunday June 7 2015

Types of music: pop and indie. Since 2007 Field Day has slowly become one of London’s very best music festivals. This year artists will include Ride, Caribou, Patti Smith, FKA Twigs.

Found Festival in Brockwell Park, Herne Hill Saturday June 13 2015

Types of music: house and techno. Highlights of the seriously heavyweight line up include Berlin techno queen Ellen Allien, hot-topic UK house dude George Fitzgerald and garage producer Mosca.

British Summer Time  Hyde Park, Thursday June 18 2015 - Saturday June 27 2015

Types of music: Pop. This annual mega-gig series returns to Hyde Park, with headliners including Blur, The Who, Taylor Swift and Kylie Minogue
For the third year running Hyde Park plays host to some of the planet’s biggest musical stars with an upmarket festival vibe that takes in small stages, theatre and comedy, food and drink and a posh VIP area.


Wireless in Finsbury Park, Friday July 3 2015 - Sunday July 5 2015
Types of music: Pop, dance, house, techno and Hip-Hop. Festival draws performers as Avicii, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj or Darke.


Lovebox in Victoria Park Friday July 17 2015 - Saturday July 18 2015
Types of music: Hip-hop pop, house, techno and dance. The party in Victoria Park returns for 2015, with Snoop Dogg and Rudimental headlining and loads more great live acts and DJs.


South West Four in Clapham Common, Clapham Saturday August 29 2015 - Sunday August 30 2015

Types of music: Electro, techno and trance. Clapham Common’s dance music festival attracts superstar DJs from across the globe, including Skrillex Fatboy Slim and Faithless live.

All this and more takes place in the parks of London. Festivals with the biggest stars of the moment to enjoy the weather, the parks and London.
